The Average Loss of Aggregate Weight After 5 Cycles Test

It Generally assumed that , the average loss of weight after 5 cycles will not surpass the following :

a) For fine aggregate 

  • 10 percent when tested with sodium sulphate (Na2SO4), and 
  • 15 percent when tested with magnesium sulphate (MgSO4) tested with magnesium. 

b) For coarse aggregate

  • 12 percent when tested with sodium sulphate (Na2SO4), and
  • 18 percent when tested with magnesium sulphate (MgSO4).
